The developer community

Developers, designers and beer.

The Internet of Things has long been hailed as the third industrial revolution, but it’s application in modern-day society is often still difficult to grasp. Until now..

The Hack Battle at TNW Conference is set to become the first ever event to turn into an IoT sandbox, by placing a grid of sensors throughout the entire terrain. Waste measurement, foot traffic, speech recognition, energy use — these are just a few of the data points our sensors will be registering. During the Battle of the Sensors we’ll invite 200 developers and designers to spend 36-hours on developing prototypes of applications based on these data points and the API's of our partners.

Experience from previous TNW conferences shows that the Hack Battle is popular amongst the developer community and is seen as a great creative experience for developers and Hack Battle Partners. At the end of the battle all hacks will be presented at TNW Conference in front of a large audience of industry experts. We have seen amazing projects and startups flourish out of the competition.
